Abstract
Roses are a commodity of horticultural plants that are unique and have their own uniqueness, the aesthetic value and high selling value itself is determined by the quality of the roses. This quality depends on its attractive appearance (physical form) and its freshness. This study aims to determine the production management of cut roses in the Margi Rahayu farmer group, Gunungsari Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. Methodologically, this research used a descriptive qualitative research method. A descriptive qualitative approach is expected to be able to produce in-depth descriptions of speech, writing and/or behavior that can be observed from an individual, group, community or certain organization in a certain context setting which is studied from a complete, comprehensive and holistic perspective on the management of cut rose production in the Margi Rahayu farmer group, Gunungsari Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. Data collection techniques carried out in this study include; observation, interviews with the help of questionnaires and documentation. Based on the research results it is known that; The Margi Rahayu farmer group has managed the production of cut roses such as; planning stage, organizing stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage but have not been carried out properly and maximally. The suggestions that the author can convey regarding this research are; Farmers and the government should work together to utilize the natural resources they have and need to increase the ability to plan economic businesses, plan processing and marketing of products that can benefit farmers.
