Abstract
Java long pepper is one of the plantation crops that has an important role in Indonesia, especially in the economic sector, in addition to other plantation commodities, such as a source of foreign exchange and the livelihoods of the Indonesian people. Bluto Village is an area in Bluto District that has the potential to develop java long pepper farming, as seen from the average production yield of 2,270 kg/Ha. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the production of java long pepper farming in Bluto Village, the level of technical efficiency, and the sources that can affect the inefficiency of java long pepper farming in Bluto Village using Stochastic frontier Cobb-Douglas production function analysis with Frontier 4.1c software tools. This research was conducted in Bluto village with 59 farmers as respondents. Based on the results of the study, it is known that production factors that affect Java long pepper farming are labor variables and phonska fertilizer variables. Most of the java long pepper farmers in Bluto Village, Bluto District, and Sumenep Regency have a technical efficiency score of 0.88. In addition, the Age variable, Education Level variable, and Family Member Number variable did not have a significant effect on the inefficiency of java long pepper farming in Bluto Village, Bluto District, Sumenep Regency.
