Abstract
The sonok cow contest is an event that showcases the grace and beauty of female Madura cows. The marketing of the sonok cow contest in the Papabaru area has not been maximized which can have an impact on visitors who attend, the income of funds for organizers, and can have an impact on the preservation of sonok cows. The objectives of this study are: (i) Identify the existing condition of the sonok cow contest in the Papabaru area, (ii) Analyze the marketing of the sonok cow contest in the Papabaru area. The data analysis method used is the analysis of 4A tourism elements and marketing analysis using the 4P marketing mix. The results of the study found that the existing condition of the sonok cow contest in the Papabaru area is good but requires improvements to facilities that are lacking such as public toilets, rest areas, places of worship, and lodging. Marketing at the sonok cow contest is known that the products offered are elements of tourism that exist in the contest such as attractions, amenities, accessibility, and the organization that oversees the contest. The price at the sonok cow contest is the registration fee for cows participating in the contest, the price of food and drinks, and the price of parking. The location of the sonok cow contest is at the West Dempo Field and the Field in the SOCA Center Area. Promotions that have been carried out are distributing invitations, messages via Whatsapp, and word of mouth.
